Very Rev. Angus Morrison

Very Rev. Dr Angus Morrison is a retired minister of the Church of Scotland. He served as the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland from 2015 to 2016. 

​

He studied Classics and Divinity at the University of Glasgow and later pursued a doctorate at New College of the University of Edinburgh.

​

Before joining the Church of Scotland, he was ordained by the Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland in 1979 and later served in the Associated Presbyterian Churches. In 2000, he became a minister of the Church of Scotland and has served in various roles.

 

From 2006 until her death, he was Chaplain in Scotland to Queen Elizabeth and is currently Extra Chaplain to King Charles.

 

Born in Glencoe, Angus grew up in Scotland. He is known for his advocacy of the Gaelic language.

He has been married to his lovely wife Marion, for 41 years and is a proud grandfather to 5 grandchildren.
